White Veil — White Sage Smudge Stick for Energetic Room Cleansing | Naturally Dried, Hand-Bound
Some rooms need more than fresh air. They need a new beginning.
White Veil is a hand-tied smudge stick made from dried white sage – probably the oldest tool for energetic space clearing. The tradition of smudging dates back thousands of years: you light the bundle, blow out the flame, and let the dense, white smoke drift through the room. It carries away what should not remain.
White sage is known for its cleansing and clarifying effect on spaces and energy fields. Whether moving into a new home, after a difficult period, before meditation, or simply as a weekly ritual – smudging creates space for what is to come.

How to use white sage
Open a window – the smoke needs a way out, and with it, everything that should go. Light the tip of the bundle, let the flame burn for a few seconds, then gently blow it out. The sage will begin to glow, and dense, white smoke will rise. Walk slowly through the room, paying particular attention to corners, doorframes, and places that feel heavy. Finally, place the glowing bundle in a fireproof dish – for example, our Quiet Vessel incense burner.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is smudging?
Smudging is a cleansing tradition of many indigenous cultures of North America – dried herbs (usually white sage) are lit and the dense smoke is guided through rooms or around people. It's said to dissolve energetic burdens.
How do I use a smudge stick correctly?
Light one end of the bundle, let it burn briefly, blow out the flame – the embers should glow. Walk through the room with the smoking bundle, into all corners. One hand guides, the other catches ash with a bowl.
Is white sage endangered?
Wild-growing white sage in California is heavily impacted by overharvesting. Our White Veil comes from certified sustainable cultivation – sage plants are replanted and tended, not wild-harvested.
